Elena Carter and Follow The Hummingbird

Author Elena Carter with her book Follow the Hummingbird paired with a homemade mint lemonade

About the Book: Where do you go when you close your eyes at night?

Lonely and depressed after her husband dies, Tina gets through her days on autopilot. But her nighttime dreams are anything but regular. Everything changes when she wakes up with proof that her dreams are much more than they seem.

After recovering from the initial shock, Tina sees a life-changing opportunity. Encouraged by her friends and armed with some magical amulets, Tina embarks on the journey into the world of her dreams. That mysterious world awaits Tina eagerly, ready to open its multiple doors to her. Except some doors are better left closed...

While exploring different realms, hoping to reunite with her lost love, Tina faces the danger of losing her soul to a dark ancient force. On the other hand, she now has a reason to believe that she can find her ”happily ever after” in one of those worlds.

Will she be able or even willing to return from her journey?

About the Beverage: Elena recommends pairing FOLLOW THE HUMMINGBIRD with a homemade mint lemonade because “although I have been accused by readers of making my characters drink too much coffee (but then again, is there such thing as too much coffee?) I decided to pick mint lemonade—my second favorite beverage—which also makes quite a few appearances throughout my trilogy.”

About the Author
: Elena Carter lives by the sea in the beautiful city of Varna, Bulgaria. When she’s not writing, you might find her chasing her toddler around the house or strolling along the city streets while taking pictures of all the cats and flowers around and, at the same time, thinking of new story ideas. Elena believes that dreams are meant to be followed, magic actually exists, and coffee can fix pretty much anything.
