About the Book: A young boy finds out that he's the quarterback for this year’s football team. The first game of the season is coming up. Inez says that “the characters are so excited and doing well as they practice on the field for the coming game and they also have a song they sing called We Ready.”

About the Beverage: Inez recommends “a Country Time Lemonade with fresh lemon wedges” to pair with her book. She enjoys it most when sitting on her back porch watching her boys set up their camping gear with the wind blowing through her hair.

About the Author: Inez McClenton is retired and has two children, a son DeAndre and a daughter Kyra. She has published four books with another coming out soon. “Growing up, I was a slow learner and I tried everything I could to catch up. My sister helped me a lot with my reading and spelling,” Inez shares. She always wanted to be a children’s book author. Many of her books include themes from her childhood. Inez hopes that children will see themselves in her stories and feel encouraged to follow their dreams as she did.
