Helen Aitchison and The Life and Love (Attempts) of Kitty Cook
About the Book: Kitty Cook is a 30-year-old teacher who has recently split up from her long-term partner. She embarks on a search for Mr Right through online dating, with a need to love herself a little more in the process. Navigating through the number of Mr. Wrong's and Mr. Right Now's provides many lessons in love - but sometimes love is right under our noses! The Life and Love (Attempts) of Kitty Cook is about friendship, self-belief, and finding our happy ever after.
About the Beverage: Helen recommends pairing her novel with a Beefeater Orange Gin and lemonade because “Kitty is a character who sees the positive in life, despite adversity and challenge. She is fun, loyal, magnetic, and feisty. She has a zest for life and a bit of fizz in her personality - just like her favorite drink!”
About the Author: Helen Aitchison is a writer from North East England. The Life and Love (Attempts) of Kitty Cook is her second novel with Cahill Davis Publishing. Her debut, The Dinner Club, was released in March 2022, and her third book, 31 Days of May, will be released in 2024.
Helen's writing is influenced by her own life experiences and from a twenty-year career in social care. Helen is the director of Write on the Tyne, a non-profit organization that makes creative writing and expression accessible and inclusive through teaching, publishing, and creating projects with marginalized voices. Helen is also a resident agony aunt at Pick Me Up! Magazine, a trustee at Age UK, and a journalist at Radio Gateshead.
THE LIFE AND LOVE (ATTEMPTS) OF KITTY COOK is from bookshops and Amazon.
