Michael Roberti and THE TRAITORS WE ARE

Author Michael Roberti shares that his drink pairing for THE TRAITORS WE ARE is: “Victory and Defeat” Black and Tan- Guinness floated over Bass pale ale. It can be other brands, but that is a classic Black and Tan. I made mine this time with Foothill's Pilot Mountain pale ale.

In my book, the armies of the Reach drink specific beer after battle depending on how that day’s conflict went. If the day was a success, a pale sweet beer was on tap. In defeat, a darker beer would be on order. I thought it would be interesting to play on this concept with a Black and Tan.
