About the Author: Ali B. McDonald is a 24-year-old American author and Secondary English teacher from Opelika, Alabama. In 2019, Ali graduated from Point University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, and in 2021, Ali obtained her Master’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Auburn University in Montgomery. Currently working on her Reading Specialist’s Degree at Arkansas State University, Ali has always had a passion for reading and writing, ever since she was young and wrote her first children’s book for her grandmother called “Sick on My Birthday.” Reading and writing are Ali’s way of being wrapped in her love for creativity and imagination. With her first novel, Laced with Venom and Honey, she hopes that others will be able to escape reality and live another life through her characters.
